He joined the Royal Darwin hospital in April 2019. With his prior training and experience from The Royal Adelaide Hospital, he has filled the void in the management of complex Pelvis and Acetabular fractures. Territorians with Complex Trauma can be managed locally.

Adjunct Scientist

The centre for stem cell research is an institute of national importance supported by the Department of Biotechnology of the Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India (http://www.cscr.in). He was an adjunct scientist with research into bone and cartilage healing.

This was done by using Stem cell culture, Developing Magnesium based implants with Biomedical Engineers and using Pulsed electromagnetic Field therapy with national and international collaborations. He has been successful with 25 research grants.

His collaborators include

The Christian Medical College, Vellore is 3500 bedded tertiary care hospital in South India ( https://www.cmch-vellore.edu ). He started full-time employment as a tutor in 2006 and subsequently became Professor in 2015. He moved to Australia in 2019.

His expertise includes management of complex trauma and Acetabular fractures, Polytrauma patients, Neglected fractures, Malunions and infected nonunions. He also treats patients with deformities and bone loss with reconstruction. He also treats patients with musculoskeletal tumours, both benign and malignant. He was involved in teaching undergraduate medical students and post-graduate students. He guided PhD students and post-graduates for their dissertation. He is a national and international faculty in trauma courses for AO Trauma International, Zimmer Biomet International and Smith and Nephew Trauma.

Royal Adelaide Hospital/ University of Adelaide - Trauma Fellow/ Clinical Lecturer (2010 – 2013)

He was trained to manage and operate Pelvic and Acetabular fracture patients. He was involved in teaching medical students (University of Adelaide). He was awarded the Professor Derek Frewin AO Citation for clinical teaching for two consecutive years by the University of Adelaide. He was involved in developing trauma protocols for patient management. During his stint he was involved in research as a principal investigator and as a co-investigator in many projects.
